Microsurgery and coverage of tissue defects of the hand

In special surgery courses we offer the possibility to learn and train on human cadavers. By the usage of fresh human cadver hands microsurgery and coverage of tissue defects of the hand will be taught under real life conditions. Apart from classical microsurgical exercises such as vessel anastomoses and nerve-co-adaptations, surgical instructions particularly valuable also for hand surgeons are instructed.

The program also includes local and pedunculated flap tissue transfer as well as complex hand insuries. As a highlight at the end of the three-day course,  participants will be replanting a thumb.

For all these exercises, each participant has an operating microscope and a varioscope at his/her disposal.

A magnifying glass should be brought along to this course!

Certainly, also for this course experienced handsurgeons of the Trauma and Plastic Surgery department will be available as demonstrators.
