Root Resection

Root resection has been an essential procedure in dentistry for a long period of time. This workshop shall give an overview of developments from past years towards microsurgical techniques and modern retrograde filling materials.

The basics for a successful treatment are knowledge about indication for surgical intervention and consideration of specific anatomical parameters. Furthermore, flap techniques, measures of how to control bleeding, apectomy, retrograde preparation and closure will be discussed in detail. In the following “hands-on-course”, an exact description of the various surgical steps as well as handling of the operating microscope will be given to participants. Experienced professionals will guide the course and offer valuable tips and tricks for practical application.

Costs for food and drinks during breaks and the framing program are included in the course fee.

The course is accredited with 10 points (Advanced training diploma) by the Austrian Medical Association and Austrian Association of Dentistry.
